Diploma Social Work and Community Development
Course Duration is 3 years
This course is intended to equip the trainee with the knowledge, skills and attitudes that will enable the trainee to perform, and manage development programs in the society. By the end of this course the trainee should in general be able to:
- Understand the various intervention methods of solving social problems
- Appreciate the roles of communication, counseling and guidance in social work
- Promote ethics, legal practices and gender issues in appraising and solving social problems
- Equip the trainee with knowledge and skills to prevent the spread of HIV AIDS and other pandemics
