International School of Medicine and Applied Technology
International School of Medicine and Applied Technology (ISMAT) is a dynamic Medical /Health and Applied Technology training Education facility that was founded in the year 2006 and is supported by Ogra Foundation a locally owned and run NGO in Western Kenya.
ISMAT enjoys international collaborations, affiliations and support both in kind and financially through its relationship with Ogra Foundation and other university collaborations namely: Moi University Eldoret; Kings College London, California State University, USA and exchange programme with University of New Mexico. ISMAT is fully registered by the Ministry of Higher Education Science and Technology and doubles as a KNEC examination centre.
The institution has established its base of operations at Mililani Estate, Kisumu. And has several Community based activities in association with Osani Health Centre and Ombeyi rural Health hospital.
We have limited our courses to those areas outlined, but hope to develop more in the near future so as to enhance the ongoing growth of the institution. By specializing in just a few of the most prevalent Health Science programs, and software applications, ISMAT has gained access to the largest segment of a growing market.
This tightly focused approach has made it easier for ISMAT to establish and retain its position as leader in Health Care and Computer training.
ISMAT also recognizes that constantly evolving technologies and computer software offer many institutions and businesses an opportunity to work smarter. In this regard, ISMAT has made it mandatory that as part of the graduation requirement, each student must demonstrate computer literacy by successfully completing our ICT program which is moderated and examined by Moi University. Other world class courses offered include Community Health and Development and Biotechnology.
